Children\u2019s toothbrushes often need to be replaced more frequently.<\/p>\n<p>Some common-sense things that the American Dental Association recommends to ensure your child&#8217;s toothbrush remains effective:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Don\u2019t share toothbrushes.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Thoroughly rinse the toothbrush with tap water after use to remove any toothpaste and debris.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Store the toothbrush in an upright position if possible and allow it to air-dry.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">When storing more than one brush, keep them separated so that germs are not transferred from one brush to another.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Don\u2019t routinely cover or store toothbrushes in closed containers. A moist environment helps the growth of most germs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Children may find that brushing with a powered toothbrush is fun which will ensure they use\u00a0it twice a day to thoroughly clean all the surfaces of your teeth.
